Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This is a short summary. The English text below is the binding version.
1. The rule
An entry fee buys unlimited bidding on a vehicle (or, with an Event Pass, on every vehicle in an event) until it closes. Once bidding is unlocked the fee is non-refundable, whether or not you bid or win.
2. When you get your money back — automatically
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Your payment was captured but the vehicle’s auction (or the event) had already closed | Full refund |
| You paid twice for the same vehicle, or paid for a vehicle already covered by your Event Pass | Full refund of the extra payment |
| Bids9 cancels the auction event (before or after it started) | Full refund of fees for that event |
These refunds start automatically — you do not need to ask. Money returns to the original payment method within 5–7 working days (your bank may take longer to show it). A credit note is issued against the original receipt and both are in Transactions.
3. What is not refunded
- Not bidding, losing, or being outbid.
- The vehicle closing unsold, the Insurer declining the top bid or not approving it in time, or the Insurer relisting it.
- A default, strike, suspension or ban on your account.
- Change of mind after bidding was unlocked.
4. Failed or pending payments
If money left your account but the vehicle did not unlock, tap "I’ve paid" — we check with the gateway. A payment that reaches us is either applied (unlocking the vehicle) or refunded under section 2; it is never lost. Payments the bank reverses on its own follow the bank’s timelines.
5. The vehicle price is not handled by Bids9
You pay the vehicle price directly to the Insurer. Any refund of that money — for example if the Insurer cannot deliver the vehicle or its documents — is a matter between you and the Insurer under their terms (Insurer refund commitment in the MOU)[To confirm]. Bids9 will help by sharing records and contacting the Insurer through Grievance Redressal.
6. Cancellation by Bids9
We may cancel or re-run an auction for a technical fault, a listing error, a legal requirement, or if the Insurer withdraws the vehicle before closing. Affected entry fees are refunded in full under section 2.
