The Grievance Officer also handles requests under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (access, correction, erasure, nomination).
2. How to raise a grievance
- 1Email grievance@bids9.com, call or WhatsApp +91 77800 51800, or — if you are logged in — use Help in the app.
- 2Include your handle and registered mobile number, the vehicle or lot (listing code such as BID-000123), what happened, and any screenshots or payment references.
- 3You receive an acknowledgement with a reference number.

These follow Rule 4(5) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 set shorter periods for some complaints (acknowledgement within 24 hours, disposal within 15 days; removal of certain content within 72 hours) (which timelines apply to Bids9, and whether to adopt the stricter ones throughout)[To confirm].

5. If you are not satisfied
You may approach the National Consumer Helpline (1915 or consumerhelpline.gov.in), the consumer commission with jurisdiction, or — for personal-data matters — the Data Protection Board of India after using this process.
